Corrine and Steve’s Wedding Limerick Golf Club

Limerick Golf Club Signature Tree

What an amazing weekend and great couple !!! On May 4th Corrine and Steve were married by Reverend George Hapel at St Paul’s Lutheran Church. When I met the Reverend he said” What would you like to do and then I will tell you what you can do!!!. At least he made his expectations clear from the get go. Anyway the service was beautiful. Corrine and Steve planted an evergreen tree as part of the ceremony. After the ceremony we headed over to the Limerick Golf Club in Limerick Pa for a night of celebration. Of course we had the opportunity to run around the golf course to create some fantastic images for Corrine and Steve. The reception ended with Corrine and Steve walking though two rows of sparklers held by friends and family. A few images from thier special day.

This Week In Wedding Photography in the Lehigh Valley

This Saturday Mary and I have the honor to document the wedding  of  Corrine and Steve. Their Ceremony will be held at the Saint Pauls Lutheran Church in Sassamansville,Pa. After the ceremony their reception will be held at the Limerick Golf club. We met with Corrine over a year ago and can’t wait  see her in her wedding gown.

Corrine was referred to us by her friend Laura Jones whose wedding we documented on Mary’s birthday in 2011. It’s going to be great to see Laura and her husband Norman again !!!! They were a fantastic couple to work with. We met with Norman and Laura at a Panera Bread in Bethlehem . I will never forget what Norman said to me ” Just so you know this is the most important days of our lives.  No pressure there !!!!

It’s going to be odd not having the camera focused on Norman or Laura !!!!! It’s also going to be great to see them again.

My First Wedding at a Giant Eagle

A Giant Eagle Wedding

It’s been a while since my last post and the wedding season is here !!!!

This is an OLD image but it is special to me. This was my first wedding and it was shot on 120 film with
my Mamyia 645 and a Metz CL 45 Flash. I started as the Photolab manager at the Chippewa Giant Eagle when it first opened. . As part of thier grand opening special, a lucky couple had the opportunity to win a free wedding package. Since I had a background in photography, they asked me to shoot the wedding for the winning couple.

The bride walk down the produce isle with a violinist playing her wedding song. Immediately after the wedding, the reception was held in the Giant Eagle parking lot. She also won a honeymoon in Hawaii. The vacation was the best part of the package !!!!
I always held the owner of the store in the highest regard. Mr Camp with a high school education started with one fast and friendly convenience store. He increased that number to 7 and then bought his first Giant Eagle franchise store in Rochester Pa. He then opened the Chippewa location. It just proves that hard work and a vision will pay off.

Capture the wedding day as it will be like no other !!!

I am not sure where the title came from but I am sure it was inspired from reading a post on the web or possibly an internet radio show. The words do ring through to me as a wedding photographer. A wedding day is like no other day. It is truly life unscripted. After all of the planning and vision, it will never go as planned. This is not necessarily a bad thing as life and a wedding day are both unpredictable.

The wedding day is a fusion of tears, laughter, embraces, smiles, celebration, special moments and love. While the moments and memories can never be duplicated, it is our task as professional photographers to capture and memorialize those moments.

We hope to have the opportunity to hear your wedding day plans and story.

A Sayen House and Gardens Wedding. Featuring Lisa and Joe

Lisa’s Getting Ready Portrait

This image was created by Mary after Lisa finished getting ready. We had a beautiful day for Lisa’s wedding!!!!
Lisa’s contracted photographer had a medical emergency but fortunately he had a back up plan. Me and Mary were open for her wedding and excited to help out Lisa and the photographer.

A great example why it is important to have a plan B and C.

The Sayen House and Gardens in Hamilton New Jersey is an outstanding location for a wedding.

Is a Rehearsal for a Wedding Really Necessary?

I guess there are always more than one opinion. If you are having a large wedding, it is necessary to make sure everyone know what to do and when to do it. So what if you are having a really small wedding? From my experience, I would say yes. It really helps the flow of the wedding. Everyone knows what to do and when to do it. With proper planning, your grand entrance will go off without a hitch.
You’re probably still not convinced!!!! This past summer we documented a small wedding for a couple.
The couple had a DJ and they were responsible for starting music to walk down the aisle. The DJ started the music before the Reverend arrived!!! The bride was devastated and it was really hard to watch this disaster unfold.

I am sure a rehearsal would have prevented this unfortunate event.

The Incredible Shrinking Bride

I bet that headline got your attention !!!. No one wants to shrink especially if it is one of the most important days in your life. The week before the wedding was rainy and even the morning of the wedding was rainy as well. After the ceremony, the bridal party and the bride were walking on a beautiful brick walkway. As the bride move off the walkway, her stiletto heels sunk four inches in the soft grass !!!!!

There are so many details to take care of in a wedding and a backup pair of shoes is a great idea. Flip flop or flat shoes work great as long as the bridal dress is not short.
