Mandy and Sonny

Weddings are always rushed or so it seems. Many times it feels like you are going from 0 to 60 !!! Mandy and Sonny made such a lovely couple. We had the opportunity to create some fantastic images right after their wedding ceremony in Ridley Park. Chris Hayes was the photographer hired by the Grooms side and he really knew the ins and outs of Ridley Park. I captured this image on our way out of the park.

Sonal and Digesh Story Board

This is a combination of four images taken at Sonal and Digesh’s engagement party at the Chutney Mary in New Jersey. The Chutney Mary’s features exotic Indian cuisine and is located in Monmouth Junction New Jersey. The venue provided a lovely red back drop which I was able to light using a flash behind the red fabric. I thought a single image of the future bride and groom would work well with center image. I used Luma Pix Pro to design the layout. The program offers amazing design capabilities!!!!

Should your Wedding Day go Unplugged ?

Almost everyone is a photographer. Almost everyone is connected to social media. Almost everyone has a camera.
With so many cell phones out there. Iphones, droids, weddings are documents and images uploaded instantly to Facebook. There are still compact camera’s and digital DSLR’s in the hands of guests.

It is a double edge sword for certain. Camera’s use an infrared beam or some type of light beam to project light on an object and back to the camera. If the professional photographer is taking an image as this beam is being projected on a bride, the image will be unrecoverable. Can you imagine IPADS taking images of a bride walking down an isle !!! I can’t but a fellow photographer said it has happened to him already.

There are a few other issues with Iphones, droids ect… The off beat Bride has an excellent article and is well worth the time to read.

Into the sunset

Another one of my favorite images from Laura and Normans wedding at the Riverview Country Club. This image was taken by number 11 hole. I have actually lost a few golf balls there too!!!
A bit of sun flare makes this a dramatic image for me. It was difficult not a find a great location at Riverview Golf Course.
If your in the Leigh Valley, Riverview is a great place for weddings and golf!!! Be forewarned, the first 9 has a TON of sand !!!

Ring Shot at Riverview Country Club

Ring shots are usually the same so I wanted to approach it differently for Norman and Laura. Usually wedding ring images are of the couples hand or the brides ring placed on a flower. Fortunately my 24 to 70 has macro feature and I was able to get in close. Using flash would have left the whites in the golf ball with little or no detail. The staff at Riverview Country club were very accommodating with my request. Thankfully they were
able to loan me a logo golf ball for this wedding ring image. So if you live in the Easton area and want a great place for your wedding, Riverview Country Club is outstanding.
